James Newman, MD completed his fellowship in Facial Plastic &
Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford University where he continues
to serve on the Clinical Faculty. He has performed over one
thousand surgical procedures and is trained in the use of every
major laser system used in plastic surgery today. Dr. Newman is
well known for his surgical expertise and shares his clinical
experience by teaching surgical residents at Stanford University
as well as authoring over 30 scientific publications related to
plastic surgery and laser surgery.

Education
And Honors
His medical career began at Baylor University where he graduated
Phi Beta Kappa. He then completed four years of medical training
from the University of Texas Medical Branch with High Honors.
Prior to graduation, he received the distinction of Alpha Omega
Alpha, the highest academic honor among graduates of the United
States medical schools. Dr. Newman completed both his surgical
internship and four year surgical residency at the prestigious
Stanford University Medical Center where he also served as Chief
Resident. He developed a focused interest in both cosmetic and
reconstructive surgery of the face and neck and made a significant
contributions to the surgical literature. In addition he continues
to present scientific papers on the national and international
level. He has been a guest lecturer in Europe, Asia, and
South America on multiple occasions.
Training
In Laser Procedures
With the expansion of lasers in cosmetic surgery, Dr. Newman
completed an additional fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery with
a special emphasis on laser surgery. At Premier Plastic Surgery, Dr. Newman uses Carbon Dioxide, Erbium, KTP,
Diode, and YAG lasers to treat a broad spectrum of conditions. In
addition, Dr. Newman uses lasers to perform common operations such
as facelifts and eyelid surgery.
