What Is
Ultrasound Diathermy?
Ultrasound diathermy uses high frequency sound waves to
generate localized heat beneath the surface of the skin. VASER
Shape achieves this effect with a special handpiece that
delivers two overlapping beams of ultrasound energy.
By moving the handpiece over a patient's body, a physician can
treat the tissue layer that is one to five centimeters below
the surface of the skin.
Heat produced by ultrasound diathermy creates a "micromassage"
effect on the fat cells. By warming the connective tissue,
redistributing fat and encouraging blood circulation, VASER
Shape temporarily reduces the appearance of cellulite to slim

Zonal Lymphatic Massage
The body's lymphatic system helps to remove toxins, excess

What is VASER® Shape? How does it differ from other
non-invasive treatments?
VASER Shape is a non-invasive ultrasound and massage therapy
treatment that smoothes, firms and shapes the body. VASER
Shape temporarily reduces the appearance of cellulite, and
increases local blood circulation and lymphatic drainage.
The treatment uses ultrasound waves to warm the targeted
problem area and treat the underlying fatty tissue. It then
uses zonal lymphatic massage to drain away excess toxins and
lipids for removal from the body.
Unlike other non-invasive body shaping procedures, VASER Shape
is a comfortable massage-like treatment that only requires
three to five sessions for noticeable results.
What does non-invasive mean?
Non-invasive means no cuts, no incisions, and no surgery.
VASER Shape is a non-invasive, non-surgical technique.
Non-invasive treatments typically have little-to-no recovery

Traditionally, body
shaping has been perfomed by liposuction, also known as
liposculpture, tumescent liposucution, ultrasound assisted
liposuction, vibratory assisted liposuction. All of these procedures
can be performed safely to remove disproportionate fat from the

flanks, arms, buttocks, chest, and knees. Liposuction is performed
under a variety of anesthesia levels ranging from local anesthesia
using the Tumescent Technique to combinations using Intravenous
