Education:
Dr. Chan graduated with honors from the University of Chicago
prior to attending medical at the University of Rochester School of
Medicine. He received numerous honors while in medical school and
graduated with the Alpha Omega Alpha award, which is only given to
the top 5% of the graduating medical class.
Training:
After graduating from medical school, Dr. Chan completed
internship in General Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. He then
completed 5 additional years of specialized training in
Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic where
he focused on surgical treatment of diseases of the face, head and
neck. Because Dr. Chan developed a special interest in plastic and
reconstructive surgery of the face, head, and neck, he went on to
receive additional fellowship training at Stanford University in
Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery. He remains on the
clinical faculty at Stanford University. Dr. Chan is ABMS board
certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck
Surgery.

Dr. Chan has published extensively in the medical literature,
written textbook chapters, and lectured nationally on facial
plastics and reconstructive surgery. He remains actively involved
in research dedicated to developing bioengineered tissue for use
in plastic and reconstructive procedures and holds US patents in
