A Healthier, More Youthful Appearance
Dr. Newman began using laser technology while at Stanford University Medical Center and has made several important contributions to the development of common practice techniques used by laser surgeons today. The laser produces controlled brief pulses of invisible light which Dr. Newman controls to precisely remove aged skin, layer by layer, stimulating the regeneration of new, healthy skin. By carefully passing the laser beam over your skin's imperfections, Dr. Newman can smooth the texture and diminish the aged and sallow look of your skin, restoring it to a healthier, more youthful appearance.

Specialized Laser Technology
Using the Erbium and combination Carbon Dioxide laser, sun damage, acne pitting, and other skin texture imperfections can be smoothed and improved, with minimal post-procedure down time. This system represents a major advance in skin resurfacing because of the unique characteristics of its patented beam technology. This intense beam of light instantly and precisely vaporizes damaged skin layer by layer. Erbium and New Carbon Dioxide laser treatment patients show less redness and exhibit equally good results with shorter healing time and with less risk than with previous treatments.

Smoother And More Refreshed
After laser treatment, the skin heals and remodels itself so that problems such as wrinkles, fine lines and scars are improved and softened. The skin texture is also improved giving a more youthful appearance. For approximately 7 days after your laser treatment, while the skin is resurfacing, your skin will be red, and somewhat swollen. You will be asked during this period of time to use a special moisturizing agent and gentle cleanser to keep the resurfacing areas moist and clean. Makeup can usually be worn 8-9 days following treatment. Your personal success will be enhanced by your conscientious care of your new, precious skin during this period of time. While laser resurfacing is not a substitute for a facelift, it does provide excellent results. Your skin will look younger, smoother, more refreshed, softened and rejuvenated when healing is completed.

About Facial and Neck Skin Resurfacing
Your skin protects your body from infection, shielding it from harmful substances that might otherwise challenge your health. Time, sun exposure, harsh wind, pollutants, and even hormones can all effect your skin adversely, aging and etching it with lines, discolorations, scars, or other imperfections. While these blemishes are not dangerous, they often detract from your natural beauty. At Premier Plastic Surgery, Dr. Newman offers customized treatments for each patient depending upon the skin tone, color, and type of damage present. We have experience treating all skin types including Asian and Mediterranean patients. His expertise focuses on
Chemical Peels, the new micro-dermabrasion technology - Diamond NewApeel, and Laser Skin Resurfacing described above.
